The Enys 10K course has been officially measured and awarded a UK Athletics race licence, the event is fully insured and uses the facilities at Enys House including
- Parking available adjacent to the main house
- Registration in one of the estate buildings (well signed)
- Changing area
- Competitors may wish to take advantage of the famous “Enys Bluebells” after the race and tickets to visit the gardens can be purchased in the café
The Start Line is on the main road approximately 800 metres away. The course of the race is mainly on rural tarmac roads with an easy downhill run for the first ½ mile. For the next couple of miles the route is fairly level with a couple of turns before the Drinks Station at approx 3miles at Carclew. Then left uphill for home, after which it’s fairly level again until a local right hand turn takes competitors through a farm and downhill to Lower Treluswell. The final mile is along an easy undulating lane leading back on to Truro Hill for the final run down the Enys Exit Drive. This compacted drive is around 500 metres long and at the end will be found the finish along with medals and “Goody-bags”!
There are individual age-category trophies along with Team Trophies in both Ladies and Men’s events. Every finisher will also get a medal and goody bag.
This is a charity led event and ALL profits this year will be shared between:
- Surf Action
- Cornwall Hospice Care
- Rotary’s End Polio Now Campaign
