Apologies to those of you looking forward to this year’s Probus 10k, but due to technical problems regarding the race permit, I’ve had to postpone it this year.
Enjoy a coastal social run instead!
Sunday 1st September, 11am
What I will be doing instead though, is putting on a Sunday morning social run starting at 11am on 1st September, between Portscatho and Zone Point (St Anthony Head/Fraggle Rock), and beyond. The course will have various ‘out and back’ distances for runners to do, including; 2, 4, 6 and 13 approx miles. (Mile markers and directions will be placed on the course to assist the runners).
It will not be a race but a social training run, and all runners taking part will be asked for a £5 donation for the Merlin MS Centre. A raffle will also be held with all proceeds going to the Merlin MS Centre.
To book a place on the run please contact me (Rob Cockings) on 07971827436 / email@example.com.
If you have any prizes for the raffle I’ll also be very grateful if you can contact me. Thank you.
Probus 10k looking to fund local Sports/Activities for young people
If you belong to a group/club or you are looking to set up a sport or activity that young people can take part in, or help to run in Probus, please contact Rob Cockings, as the ‘Probus 10k road run’ is looking to allocate £500 towards a project or activity/sport in the village.
Please don’t hold back from contacting Rob if you think your sport may not ‘fit the bill’ as such, as it’s not just mainstream sport or activities that Rob will be interested in. The important thing is that it will be something that will actively engage young people in an activity/sport that will have a positive impact on their health and wellbeing.
