At last Wednesday’s club night Diane Boardman was officially confirmed as the Charles Stanley City of Truro Half Marathon 2011 Race Director. Diane will be taking on an important role for the club that will involve co-ordinating every aspect of the race including liaising with organisations like the Grand Prix Committee and local authorities, as well as the THM sub committee of course.
Everyone was invited to the first half marathon meeting at the Rugby Club after Wednesday night’s run, when Diane confirmed that Charles Stanley will once again be our official sponsors. Diane then appointed members of the sub-committee from anyone interested in joining and it was then agreed on immediate actions that needed to be taken, and that 50% of the proceeds of the event would go to the mental health charity Mind. We’re very pleased to support this particular charity on behalf of members of the club. The remaining 50% will go towards the club’s development.
It was agreed that all the sub-committee minutes and agendas will be published on this site as soon as they’re available, so please check under the Committee section above. Although sub-committee members have been appointed for particular areas there will be plenty more to do, so please, if you’re able to help in any way at all, however big or small, let us know!

This list will inevitably change and expand as time goes on and new roles are needed, for example a Marshall Co-ordinator is an absolute must!
